The customer experience is our highest priority, but that doesn’t mean our job is all fun and games—there’s a lot of work that goes into preparing the customer environment. Every day, we restock parts of the store, we vacuum, we clean bathrooms, and we polish the display cases. Every few days, we vacuum the bulk tables to get rid of shirt fuzz, hair, and broken pieces. We shampoo the rug every few days, too. We organize a massive array of LEGO pieces, minifigs, and sets, which can be a bit of a puzzle, but it’s one we’re always up for.
Treasure Hunts with Trade-Ins
One of the coolest things about Bricks & Minifigs is the trade-in system. Customers bring in their old LEGO sets and bricks, and we get to go through them. You never know what rare or nostalgic stuff might turn up! We process everything we buy, which often means we do a lot of research and detailed evaluations. We may not research and evaluate every piece of bulk we get, but we do clean it, dry it, and sort out non-LEGO. Taking care of our LEGO inventory is a chore in and of itself.
Community and Creativity
Working at Bricks & Minifigs is also about fostering a vibrant community. As staff members, we often help organize and run camps, parties, build events, contests, and shows, which is always a blast and helps strengthen our store’s connection to the local LEGO-loving crowd.
