LEGO STEM Camp – Summer 2025 (June 9th-13th)

Looking for a fun and educational summer camp for your child? Our LEGO STEM Camp is the perfect opportunity to spark their curiosity and creativity while helping them develop valuable STEM skills. This immersive camp is designed for kids ages 7-15 and combines the excitement of LEGO building with real-world science, technology, engineering, and math concepts!

Camp Dates & Time:

• When: June 9th – 13th, 2025
• Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM 
• Location: Bricks & Minifigs – Glen Carbon

What to Expect: Over the course of the week, campers will dive into a variety of fun, hands-on STEM activities based on Common Core Math and NGSS Science standards. Each day, campers will:

• Tackle engineering challenges and design simple machines
• Build and experiment with LEGO creations that explore physics, earth science, and life science
• Strengthen math concept understanding and problem-solving skills through engaging activities
• Collaborate with peers on exciting group projects

Our LEGO STEM Camp is led by degreed educators experienced with multi-grade classrooms. The activities and the staff leading them encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork while keeping things fun and exciting with LEGO bricks! By the end of the week, campers will have completed their own science experiments and take home a custom LEGO project (Pieces for the take-home project typically amount to about the value of a small bulk bag.).

Who Should Attend: Our LEGO STEM Camp is ideal for children ages 7-15 who have a passion for building, creating, and exploring new concepts in science and engineering. More important than age, children who attend should be able to:

• Engage in creative and collaborative activities with peers
• Work through small setbacks and keep going without becoming frustrated
• Build basic LEGO structures and tackle more complex designs with guidance
• Focus on a project for at least 30 minutes at a time
• Follow instructions, think critically, and collaborate on group projects

Important Notes:

• Prerequisite Skills: While the camp is geared towards kids ages 7-15, it’s more important that participants have the ability to engage in the activities listed above rather than strictly adhering to the age range.
